Autobiography about one of Kentucky's most well known madams and her "house of ill repute". Pauline, as she is
known, was a shrewd, no-nonsense businesswoman for her day and recognized early on that she could turn a nice profit from the world's oldest profession. She encouraged her "girls" to invest their money wisely and often provided counsel encouraging them to get out of the business early and settle down with a husband and family.
