2023 movie #8. 1952. Monroe, in her first starring role, is great in this story of a troubled young woman who thinks Widmark is her boyfriend killed in the war. Also, 20-yo Anne Bancroft, his girlfriend, is terrific in her first film. Pretty good film.

Terrible characters in a character-driven story. There's not much of anything to recommend it except that Marilyn Monroe is in it.
