DNF at 9%, I guess it’s not for me. The human MC is young, maybe 10. There is an element of war and tactics and a dictator as one realm or area defends themselves from humans. The chapters are short but rotate between the different characters. I think there are 5 by now. It’s unfortunate but I’m going to move on for now. I won’t purge it in hopes that someone provides a decent review someday. I need to know more about what the story is about before I continue since I’m not enjoying it..… (meer)

Fun bit of a story. Dropped into post apocalypse setting. One character appears to be holed up in a decent spot. Sending out "journal entries" on postcards attached to balloons. Another or multiple others are finding the postcards and working their way to the writer.

I thought the ending was too ambiguous but the only facts we can get are from the postcards found by one of the characters. I have some assumptions about what happened but I'm not all that confident. Makes me feel a bit dumb which isn't how you want to feel at the end of a book.

I'd read the sequel sometime.… (meer)
