I thoroughly enjoyed "[Olives]" by [[Mort Rosenblum]] and snatched up this book as its Califonia kindred spirit. Boy was I wrong. This book reads like a dry, turgid textbook written for a history of agriculture course in some disappointing flyblown junior college in the Central Valley, When writng this review I thought that perhaps my memory was treating this book a bit harshly - but..... no.
