Sophie goes to Mexico to spend time with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. As she visits her relatives' house, the beach, a ranch, an open-air market, and a soccer stadium, all the requisite vocabulary is presented on busy, bright, digitised spreads, in fold-out "phrasebooks," and on the CD. The phrasebooks, which list all the vocabulary introduced on each spread, are written in small type and are difficult to read. The CD, however, is well composed-by far the best learning option presented. The book's visuals make a natural transition to the computer screen, and hearing the words pronounced in a clear, idiomatic Spanish is invaluable.… (meer)
