I tend to buy all GMP books that I come across in charity shops just to see what they are like: some have been excellent, others strange and others, like this one, not very good. It was a quick easy read, but that's about the most positive thing I can say about it. It rubbed me the wrong way by slopping editing (plurals with apostrophes), suddenly splitting out into multiple points-of-view in the second half, and to some extent lacking a sense of a definite place and time (at least that was my impression, perhaps someone else would feel differently). The plot made it feel as formulaic as some of the gay coming out storylines that soaps have been doing over the past fifteen years.… (meer)
