Experiential learning - or learning by doing - has been in higher education for over a century. Before that, the apprenticeship model existed for thousands of years. In terms of fomal educaton, experiential learning has had a resurgence since the late 1950s and even moreso in the late 1990s and into the early 2000s. This book is filled with tips on how to dabble or move to experiential learning. Most tips are less than half a page - so not overly in-depth - but useful nonetheless.
