a lot of great ideas and recipes in here. I was most interested in the pancake cake as I made a pancake cookie and could not get much taste of Maple with maple syrup alone. I might need to make this cake just see see how much maple comes through.

Did I think I would get the exact Milk Bar recipes when I got this book? No. Did I think I'd get a book full of recipes calling for Jiffy mix and boxed cake mixes? Big fat really disappointed no. I'm not sure if I've ever been more disappointed in a cook book than this one.

Desserts cookbook. This has the most unique recipes I've seen in a while, but if you don't already have a kitchen stocked with things like cake crumbs and liquid cheesecake and apple cider soak, it's going to take you quite a while to make a recipe from scratch. Much more tempting to just make the trip out to New York to sample the food. Gorgeous book, though.
