Harriet Pugh Tuckey

Griffith Pugh was a brilliant yet flawed scientist in a age when science could be done by one man and during the of the heydays of British science investigation. Pugh's contributions to the science of high altitude survival made the conquests of Mt Everest possible and his work is still saving lives of those who climb big mountains for the fun of it. His work in the area of hypothermia directly contributed to the way men and women are able to survive in cold environments today.
