The creator has another series, I Married My Female Friend, but my library only has vol. 2, so I'm placing a request to get vol. 1. I hope to check it out someday.

A romantic rival is ready to shake up the slow and steady "will they or won't they" limbo of the first two volumes.

I'm coming back to this series after two and a half years as my local library only had the first two volumes for the longest time. But the last two books suddenly appeared in the catalog, and I have the conclusion cued up for tomorrow.

Still slow as hell, but also sweet as can be. I never knew nail polish could be such a critical plot point.

Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon Vol. 1 door Shio Usui

Cute but frustrating because the pacing of the story depends on the obliviousness of the main character: Why can't I ever find a guy I want to date? Why can't they be as nice and attentive as my female co-worker? Why did my heart skip a beat when she smiled? Welp, time for another group date with a bunch of guys!

Still, she seems to be working through her confusion as part of figuring out what she's doing with her life. And the co-worker isn't as sensible and together as she first appears and has a humorous relationship with her little sister that helps move things along.

I'm pretty much hooked and asking my library to buy the next volume.… (meer)
