Waterloo, Waterloo by [Waugh, Teresa]I was given this book by Endeavor Press and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. The characters were so realistic, crazy and outrageous. The story is tragic, funny and filled with pathos. The satirical humor can be found throughout and will have the reader laughing as they read.

The story is told from each person's inner voice. The story looks at ordinary life with a family that is anything but perfect. If looking close, the readers may find themselves or those of others in the characters.

This is a great read and I highly recommend it.

This is a great story, simply tragic and terrific. I could see people I know in some of the characters.

A story injected with humour and pathos. It reminded me of the 90’s sitcom Absolutely Fabulous with the boozy, chain smoking Edina, played by Jennifer Saunders. We laughed along as Edina complained how no-one gave her any attention and her drab daughter dragged her down.

Waterloo, Waterloo is full of bad behaviour (and it’s not all Peggy’s) and satirical humour with a crazy cast of outrageously selfish characters.

When reading you must take into account as a story with an omniscient narrator we are getting everyone’s inner thoughts as if they are spoken out loud. Imagine your day as if all your thoughts are heard by those around you.

Waterloo, Waterloo is a satirical look at the ordinariness of life with a profoundly imperfect family and a quirky cast of extras.
We just might see a little of ourselves in some of the characters.

With my thanks to Endeavour Press via Netgalley for my copy to read, review and have a few laughs along the way.

A claustrophobic story about the life of a family, living in London during Margaret Thatcher's time in government.
It wasn't a story I took to unfortunately.
It was slightly soap operish and the characters were not that likeable.
It was a story that didn't endear itself to me.
I was given a digital copy of this book by the publisher Endeavour via Netgalley in return for an honest unbiased review.

Not a story I took to unfortunately.
The characters were 2 dimensional and formulaic.
