I love this series! If it were not for the spelling and grammatical errors that abound throughout the book, it would have deserved a much higher rating. The mistakes do spoil the book somewhat, as one sometimes has to read a sentence or paragraph several times to make sense of it. There were also one or two scenes that were out of sequence. This is the second book in the Tales of Cinnamon City and it does help to read the first one before reading this. Otherwise, this is a great story and an entirely enjoyable series. I really do look forward to future novels in this series as it is something completely different. It follows the adventures of Commander Henson and her friends, family, foes and mentors through her role as a security agent and some starttling information she hears but refuses to accept. This book moved somewhat slower than the previous one but did lay down some important groundwork for future novels. I would advise the author to do several proof reads before submitting future novels so that it makes for better reading. A revision of this book would also help future readers.… (meer)

What's great book! I do not normally enjoy post apocalyptic stories, but I really could not class this as one. It was more of a futuristic view of the future. Technology, food, security for The people and otherwise pretty normal lives for most citizens, except those of the security forces. The book started with a run, then slowed briefly to introduce important new characters and then blitzed away again. The characters were well developed and either like-able or extremely hateful, which made for an exciting read, rooting for your favourites. The book was well written and flowed seamlessly from one chapter to the next, making it impossible to put down at any point. The technology created in the book for the battles was mind boggling and frightening. The human is capable of terrible cruelties towards what they consider lesser beings. I am really looking forward to the next book. Really hope I don't have to wait too long. I really need to know what happens next!!!… (meer)
