Didn't think I'd enjoy the book as much as I did as I mostly read romance novels. Was able to find out about the family life-such precious moments. Quite a very detailed accounting of specific battles the author's father actually fought in. There are MANY photos with descriptions and some funny stories about some of the men. Like strategic tactics used and why they choose those methods over others. Learned a lot about this war that they don't tell in the history books. Loved learning more about the team work and how they never leave one of theirs behind. Acknowledgements follow and biography.
