Betsy Hill Williams

Betsy Williams was the Director of Religious Education for the Church of the Larger Fellowship for more than a decade. She has written other books for the UUA. Church of the Larger Fellowship is primarily made up of UUs or people interested in Unitarian Universalism, who don't have a congregation within easy commuting distance. Via the Internet they stay connected. Quest for Meaning is an important blog.

This booklet covers ancient calendars, also Chinese,Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, and Jewish calendars, as well as the Gregorian calendar used today around the world. It is pointed out that many calendars, such as agricultural calendars used in areas of Africa, Asia, and the Arctic are not represented. Fixed dates are discussed as well as many movable dates.
