Elizabeth Winchester

I like the Time for Kids series of books. This one is about bees. It is simple but provides lots of interesting facts about bees and their lives. It teaches kids about a bees life, how new bees are born, how they make honey, how they protect the nest, and what happens to bees if they sting something. The book even touches on a beehive and beeswax. This book flows well as you read through the topics. It has photographs of bees through out in different sizes and has little fun facts in cartoon form to keep kids entertained. It is easy and fun to read.
High school Biology is not a good place for this book, but I think it could be used in a elementary science class to enforce how important all living things are to the cycle of life.… (meer)
