Brick House (Blue Collar Wolves, #2) door Ronin Winters
Decent story. Better than #1 as the males have respect for the female. Some issues with background d/s themes. Nice to see that themes of pain are not included. Some disconnected or abrupt scene changes that were jarring.

Desert Moon is book one in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch by Anna Lowe. I am reading this series out of order and each book can stand-a-lone.
Ty, an Alpha and son of an Alpha. He is bossy, busy, sexy, and wounded in a way that only his true mate can see. I liked Ty.
Lana, daughter of an Alpha. She knows how the Alphas work and she wants nothing to do with an Alpha even if it is her true mate. She is sexy, smart, strong willed, and independent. I liked Lana.
ALowe is an awesome writer. I was pulled into the characters, plot, and world from the first to the last page. I could not put Desert Moon down. I love how the author pulled me into the storyline and connected me to the characters. I become so engrossed in the authors characters; that I felt everything they felt whether they were happy, sad, frustrated, etc. The emotions are so real and the world is unique. I also like how the shifters are portrayed. We are also given a great conflict on more then one front with the feud and rouges.
Ty and Lana are a perfect couple. They complemented each other and when they connected the sex was passionate and sensual. Destained mates are rare and to find one is something you fight to keep and protect. The wolf side knows it’s destained mate, but the human side will struggle with life’s conflicts and emotions before they come around.

"TEMPTED BY THE PACK"

I wasn’t entirely impressed by Tempted By the Pack. I enjoyed the idea of it, but it just felt like it could of been executed better. Not much of a begging or ending. Felt like the book need more, but as short stories go it’s a nice read especially after a heavy hitter.
The characters in this book felt a little flat. The Breaux brothers are intriguing and hot, but we don’t get much on them, I understand they will each get their own book, but it would be nice to have more background. I like Lark, she is independent and strong willed, but it was hard to picture her switching from one to two to more men. The sex scenes were good. They did not overtake the book. As for the plot well not a whole lot. The Pack has to find their fated mates on a blue moon. Their is a little conflict with vampires, but not much background is explained on this.

Since no one said anything about the hero bad mouthing the heroine, and there was not comments on spanking this cannot get a higher ranking from me. Story was pretty good, sex was not bad... but really the lack of respect was a blocker for me.
received this ARC in return for an honest review, and I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy! Full figured Sophie was used to comments about her size but it still hurt just the same and owning a tea shop was hardly doing her weight any good, but she wanted this shop since she was a little girl. She never knew why a huge muscle bound lumberjack stopped at her place every day to order takeout, he was like a bull in a china shop.
Mica had passed the tea shop and saw his mate, but he was a shy bearded tongue tied doofus when he was near Sophie, but as his dragon friends egged him on he knew he had to face rejection if Sophie didn't want him. She was his "Only" and he didn't want another woman… (meer)
