I'm sure how to approach this review. This is the story of how one Father coped with the loss of one of three daugheers, all of whom served, in Iraq. It is an intensely personal story that includes pride, anguish, saddness, and emptiness. Surprisingly, until I picked up this book, the story of these three young women had passed me by even though it is so recent and so near (Waukesia, WI). I would be emiss if I didn't acknowledge how poorly edited this book is. It is short book and so very important that it deserved better. That said, the author, the Father of the three giels, has done a remarkable job of telling his story. For those of us who have never had his experience, we can be thankful for missing it. For those who have had a similar event, we can only say thank you for your work of parenting such remarkable children.… (meer)
