A cute little read. Bought as chick-lit, and I guess it really is, as it is about a single woman in London. Unlike most of the chick-lits I've read, however, in this one the core group of friends is not all-important. In fact, they bail on the heroine, Molly, almost immediately. The story centers around Molly's decision to have the baby of her long-term lover, although he has no intention of leaving his wife, and she has no support system in place. This may sound gloomy, but it's funny and fairly well-written. I'll read more from the author.… (meer)

A newly widowed former back up singer must now figure out what to do with her life. With two grown up children with their own lives and problems, Sally must go about it on her own with a little help from old friends and new acquaintances.

Fun adventure in the islands of Greece and in the new sex toy shop in her hometown. English sensibility and humour abounds. The characters are engaging and the plot entertaining, I just don't know where the title came in to it besides the chapter intros. Doesn't matter, though. It didn't lessen my late night readings and enjoyment.… (meer)
