Amy Burnham Mucha spent much of her childhood exploring the woods around her childhood homes in New York and New Jersey. She has been spinning stories since the age of five and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. Amy’s love of books led her to Kenyon College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in English Literature. Though she does not own a time machine, she once spent a summer as a Victorian candlestick maker.

Amy now lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. There, she enjoys gentle winters and glorious, flower-filled springs with her big-hearted husband, their two kids, two over-indulged dogs, and numerous superior cats. She spends her days drinking tea, eating chocolate, daydreaming, people watching, and making up new stories about power and magic. If you pass her in a cafe, you just may end up in one of them.

Amy is passionate about empowering girls and women everywhere to love themselves, embrace and support all the girls in their lives, and speak loud for what’s right.
