I read a real mix of fiction and plenty of very specific non-fiction when researching my historical novels.

I am a writer and a reader. My first novel, Needing Napoleon is an alternate history tale with a time travel twist. The sequel, Serving Shaka, is due out Spring 2022, and becomes the second instalment of The Richard Davey Chronicles. The third book in the series is with my editor.
I live on the Isle of Skye with my wife, Helen and my Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Sophie. I love climbing mountains and skiing when I am not reading or writing.
