2000+ books, overwhelmingly hardcover, housed in a purposed designed room with oak bookshelves running on the two longer walls. One side is devoted to fiction, the other non-fiction, art, design. Oak library table in the centre of the room piled with books most frequently referenced, leather club chair in corner with floor reading lamp and table. Bespoke reading stand / lecturn in mahogany and cherry where large books ( atlases, artbooks) are stored and displayed. End wall bookshelves mostly reference (encyclopaedias, specialty dictionaries), with more art books. Red velvet curtains on windows, some framed art, bronze statuary, ect.

Reads Everything, but recently China Mieville, Thomas Pynchon, Stephen Donaldson, John Connolly, Umberto Eco, and Seamus Heaney. Read an unhealthy amount of science fiction and fantasy as a youth, but gradually embraced all genres for a more balanced diet.
