My tastes are quite eclectic, though I find that I very much enjoy Juvenile/Young Adult Literature most because it's an easy read and very enjoyable, especially with authors like Lois Lowry and Tamora Pierce. Sci/Fi and Fantasy are my usual suspects when I choose a book, though I can read just about anything if it's good.

I am currently working towards my Master's Degree in Special Education and Literacy. I decided to track my own reading habits so I could easily share them with my students. I will be interning in the Spring, and hope to have a full-time teaching job by Fall of 2012.
I would rate myself as a mid-avid reader. I do not always have time to read, and/or find myself glued to the television instead (bad habit). However, at 26 years old, I estimate that have read at least 120 novels (not including informational, class-required text books, or picture books, newspapers, etc) since I was 8 years old. That averages out to about 6 books per year. Every time I make a list, I find more to add that I'd forgotten about!
