Over mijn bibliotheek
Like most people, my library reflects my life and interests. My undergraduate degree is in Political Science, so I have a lot of books about elections and politics. One of my oldest hobbies is genealogy, particularly of European royal and noble families. My library contains numerous books about royalty, the British peerage, European nobility, and prominent American families. I also have a lifelong interest in classical and European history as well as geography.

I have a weakness for maps and genealogical tables in books. A book that has one or both may be in my library even if it has no other redeeming feature. I have been known to buy a book simply for a great map or family tree.

I enjoy mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, and the novels of Anthony Trollope.

Undoubtedly, the largest part of my collection contains gay-themed works. As an out and proud gay man, this is an essential aspect of my library and life today.

I enjoy books in series, so once I find an author that I like, I often acquire all of his or her works.
Over mij
I spent the first part of my working life at a large not-for-profit educational testing company, before going to graduate school to earn a master's degree in library and information science. I now manage the library and records management program for an architectural and engineering firm. My partner and I have been together for 15 years and we have a beautiful cat named Princess.
