I have included a collection of children's books (SLIS 756) books that I have read as well as books I am curretnly reading in my young adult literature class (SLIS 757) as well as ratings of the books I've read for pleasure (adult fiction and adult nonfiction). I'm hoping my ratings will offer others looking at my site good books to read for themselves or for their children!

Greetings, all! My name is Katherine Williams and I reside in Rock Hill, SC, although born and raised in Charleston, SC. This is my third semester in the SLIS program and I am hoping to graduate from the program is Spring 2009 (just two more semesters go!!) I would ultimately like to be a school media specialist in a middle or secondary school setting. Currently, I am working in the circulation department of the York County Library. I love my job and the people I work with!

On a more personal note, I recieved my BA in Psychology from Winthrop University and went on to pursue an MAT (Masters in Arts and Teaching) from Winthrop as well. I believe, however, that school media is my calling. I have been married now for a a little over two years and we have 5 lovely children of our own (3 dogs and 2 cats)! I am an animal lover at heart and enjoy nothing better than cuddling with my furry children. In my spare time, I like going to the movies, listening to a good tune, reading, and playing card games with friends. I absolutely *love* Japanese food, the color pink, and going to the beach and watching the waves crash! Yes, I know this last sentence was a bit random, but so is my personality; one of the many quirks that I enjoy about myself. If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to contact me!
