Our library is an interesting collection. Because each host chooses their own book, a competition has evolved leading towards better and better books. We have had three Pulitzer Prize Winners this year which doesn't guarantee we will like them. We seem to enjoy lighter reads during our hectic summer months and more serious reads at other times of the year. Our dominant themes tend to be historical, southern, woman, American Indian, Middle Eastern and current best sellers.

The Beach Babes Book Club is a lively group of women who live and work along sone of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Beaches of Florida's Emerald Coast! Our club which began in 2005 meets once a month either at someone's home or at the beach, one of our favorite locations. We keep membership down to 20 and are considered in the area as "The Smart Book Club". Each host chooses the book for the month, targets a culinary theme and delivers the main dish, everyone else brings appetizers, breads, wine, salads, sides and desserts. It is always a delightful time and interesting discussion, whether we like the book or not.
