Over mijn bibliotheek
My 'virtual' library is generally made up of books I have read in the last two years. Some I was introduced to through the bookclub I attend. (We tend to concentrate on books which are recent publications.) Some are favourite authors/books of my own choosing. Although I have not entered any famous classics, novels by Dickens, Jane Austen, the Brontes, Hardy etc, I have devoured most of their books in the past and admire these authors greatly.
I like books to be well-written and reasonably plausible, but I also like to feel I have learned something new. (Much of my knowledge of history has been picked up through reading historical novels, and I have gained so much extra information about countries and cultures through reading about them.)

Over mij
I am married to Rob. We have three children, all now grown up. Only one still in the UK. Visiting them has taken us to Japan, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand and Egypt. Our older daughter has four daughters. She lives near Hay-on-Wye, a small town known as the book capital of the UK.
Now retired, my last post was Administrative Assistant at Lichfield Cathedral and I still do some voluntary work there.
I enjoy photography, water-colour painting, exploring new places, classical music and of course reading. Rob and I take our boxer dog for walks on near-by Cannock Chase every day.
