Over mijn bibliotheek
About 5 years ago I realized I could spend the rest of my waking life reading and I wouldn't have time to finish all the books I already owned... since then I've acquired another 200+ and apparently I just won't stop! Not sure what becomes of this library when I'm gone, but that's in some distant future...
Over mij
I have a blog, "The Nowtopian," where I sometimes review books I've read, and often include references to current reading in my perambulations... it's at www.nowtopians.com. I also have a ton of writing at various websites all reachable from my personal site listed below. My newest book is "Nowtopia: How Pirate Programmers, Outlaw Bicyclists, and Vacant-Lot Gardeners Are Inventing the Future Today" and you can preview it a bit at nowtopia.org. And I have written a novel, "After The Deluge", and edited five books, "Bad Attitude: The Processed World Anthology" (with Mark Leger, Verso: 1990); "Reclaiming San Francisco: History, Politics, Culture" (with James Brook and Nancy J. Peters, City Lights: 1998); "Critical Mass: Bicycling's Defiant Celebration" (AK Press: 2002); "The Political Edge" (City Lights Foundation: 2004), "Ten Years That Shook the City: San Francisco 1968-78" (City Lights Foundation: 2011), and I produced and added 25% new content to the 2nd edition of "Vanished Waters: The History of San Francisco's Mission Bay" (Mission Creek Conservancy: 2011).
