Here's my rating system.

One Star: I finished the book. There were plenty of books that I never finished that I didn't catalog. These were books I could stomach finishing.
Two Stars: The book held my interest until it was done, but it was nothing special.
Three Stars: I really enjoyed the book when I read it, couldn't put it down. That's the majority of the books I pick up. But with the passing of time... eh.
Fourth Stars: I was really struck by the book. Thought about it a long time afterwards. I would only put about 10-15% of books I've read into it.
Five Stars: Books that hold a deep resonance with me. Probably only 1% of books I've read fit here.

I like big books and cannot lie.
