Over mijn bibliotheek
I collect hardcover editions of works by Anne McCaffrey. I have read all my McCaffrey paperbacks to pieces, which is why I have shifted to HC versions and recollecting the titles all over again. I do not have any other particular favorite authors, since I normally like all the books I buy. But as I catalog them, I hope others will discover and like the books as well. I have committed myself to reading the classics, so I am slowly, but surely going through some of the older sets I have in the house. (however, it sure helps if one watches the film version first! ;-) !!! )
Over mij
always on the lookout for a good book which i always find hidden behind a whole mountain of other stuff. i have a book collection in europe (where i now live) and in asia (where i used to live). librarything was a link given to me by someone from a publishing house, who was helping me find an out of print set of books from the 50's.

interesting titles intrigue me and i always do the first 2 pages test (if i'm not interested to read beyond the first two pages, i doubt i'll be interested to read the book at all!).

i grew up with my parents giving me my own first "library" (basically, a study desk with a bookcase loaded with more than 50 books). Since then, I have had my nose literally and figuratively buried in books. Birthday gifts always inevitably contained a book somewhere. My husband is also a collector of books, and we have practically the same taste in everything. We even have double collections -- same titles: in english for me and in dutch for him.
