I read lots of mysteries, but also a bit of everything else. I get into areas of interest and read in that subject for a while and then move on to something else. I enjoy travel writing partly for the writing, and probably also to make up for the fact that I'm not the traveller I'd like to be. I read science fiction/fantasy the least, but I have been known to read a fantasy novel or two in my time,if it somehow captures my fancy.

I'm an academic advisor for an adult degree completion program at a small liberal arts college.
