Lidjasmindarznik

I was born in Tehran, Iran and came to the U.S. at the time of the 1979 Revolution. I write fiction and creative nonfiction. My book, The Good Daughter, is a family memoir about my mother's first marriage and a half-sister I never knew growing up. I used to be a lawyer and then I went on (more happily) to get my PhD in English at Princeton. I teach 20th century literature and creative writing at Washington and Lee and have been a visiting professor of Iranian literature at the University of Virginia.
