Julianne King has been a published poet and author for 23 years. Her most recent work, Sex Work & Other Sins is a collection of poems and essays that forces forbidden topics to the forefront. Family, poverty, desperation, and humanity are laid bare in this unflinching journey. Sex Work & Other Sins is a follow-up to King's collection Bible Belt Revolution. Her poetry has also been published, by Silent Spark Press, Snapdragon: A Journal of Art and Healing, South Florida Poetry Journal, and the anthology "Turning the Corner". Over the last year, her essays and poems have received tens of thousands of views across social media, and while King has dabbled in multiple forms and themes, she finds herself consistently focusing on how faith, family, and communities in rural America can lift people up, or tear them down.
