- Most of my books are inherited. I have already had to re-home a substantial number of books that are surplus to my own requirements, including an extraordinary collection of literary criticism of Alexander Pope, in publications up until the 1960s, which have gone to the South African National Library. But I can't blame my deceased family - we're all book-addicts, including my thirteen- and eleven-year-old children.
