Over mij

I'm an academic, a researcher and a teacher. I used to live in the Middle East, but I'm from Africa, although I'm a Canadian citizen (confused yet?). I currently live in Lancashire (yeah, it's not quite Johannesburg, or Dubai, or Montreal, but hey - they (kinda) speak English, and there's nationalised health care.

My main interests are in the sociology of news, and especially professionalism and new media technologies/formats. I teach cultural studies as well.
