Over mij
I was born in San Diego, California and graduated from California Polytechnic College in Pomona, Ca. and Georgia Real Estate School at North Georgia College and State University. I lived for years on the edge of the arid Coachella Desert before escaping to the eighty shades of green in the North Georgia Mountains. Previous jobs entailed being a secretary to the Human Resources Director of a large newspaper, a stint teaching school, training horses, owning a Western Shirt Company, painting fine art and selling perfume.

Chattahoochee Dead, my latest Georgia real estate thriller, is the second in the Maria Sebastian series; I cooked this up based on my twenty-five years as a realtor, working at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia.

I've had several short stories published in various magazines such as Confection, The Lyric, Promises to Keep, Woman, Horizon Magazine and the North Georgia Star. My first novel, Auraria Dead, was published by Wolfmont Press in 2011, and was accepted by the Atlanta Prose Stage to be read at the Decatur Book Festival in 2011, as well as The Dahlonega Book Fair, sponsored by North Georgia College and State University, 2011.

Today I live in the original gold country of Dawsonville, GA, am a licensed real estate agent and belong to the local Board of Realtors, the Chamber of Commerce, two writing groups, a book club, Sisters In Crime and Southeastern Mystery Writers of America.

I truly enjoy meeting with local book clubs, and am available for signings. Please see my website for more information - www.melodyscott.com.
