I enjoy reading books and writing reviews here on LibraryThing. I just started my freelance book review journey in 2023. I love to read historical fiction and a good mystery. I also review and collect a lot of children's books because of my job as an educator. You will also see classics, self-help, memoirs, and many more genres in my collection, as I have various interests. Basically, I just love to read! Hello, My name is Michelle Smith. I am a freelance book reviewer. I have been an avid reader and amateur writer all of my life. My career experience is mostly in education, as I hold a master's degree in ed tech and a bachelor's in elementary ed as well as in speech & language disorders. I have been a teaching assistant/tutor in K-8th grades in various subjects for the last 13 years. I currently review children's books up to young adult novels. I enjoy reading new debut authors, self-published ebooks, and new authors for children. I currently work part-time as a teacher's assistant helping special education children with their reading and math goals.
