Two of the books in my library are written by me: A Promise to Astrid, and Voices from the Fallen.
The others I've read by Kute Balckson I found to be inspirational and sometimes life-changing.
I love true stories that have the abillity to impact people's lives.

I am the author of Voices from the Fallen: True Stories of Addiction, Grief, Recovery and Courage, and A Promise to Astrid, and podcast host of Healing Voices Project.

Voices from the Fallen is a brief collection of eight true stories from people and their families that have endured substance addiction with various causes, effects, and outcomes. What makes this book different is the stories are told from the first person, with family and friends' perspectives inserted to show their contrary perspective throughout. You'll get to personally know each of them and become invested in their outcomes, and perhaps recognize familiar aspects with people you know. The purpose to to create awareness and inspire / motivate people to make changes in their lives.

A Promise to Astrid is a true captivating story about an elderly woman who has a gift and a mission to help people in need, in discreet, creative, and mysterious ways. A Promise to Astrid was made into a movie by JCFilms in 2019, starring Dean Cain.

Healing Voices Project is a podcast that shares stories of addiction, grief, recovery and courage and was spawned by the book Voices from the Fallen.
