I've got a seven foot tall bookshelf full of only paperback fiction, and a few miscellaneous shelves of old hardbacks.

And then floating stacks that still haven't found a permanent home.

I love books. I realize that sounds rather conventional, but I do. I love the smell of books, the thrill of coming home with a stack so high I can't see the door, and having to get more bookshelves to house them. I love talking about a new find, and even better-getting to read it. I love being able to converse intelligently about Homer and Plato, discuss e.e. cummings and Voltaire, and explain why I think Peter Pan is the best "children's book" ever written.
