Bezig met laden... El capitan calzoncillos y el perverso plan del profesor Picapica (origineel 2000; editie 2001)door Dav PilkeyThis book truly is fun for all ages (as long as you can read it about 7 years or so depending on the child). Its a funny wacky book that is childishly gross but all clean humor and even teaches kids to be proud of who you are and to not let people bother you. when you finish this book you truly will be sad but then you will realize there are 10 more captain under pants books to read and you will yell the captains favorite phrase tra-la-laaaa! The Captain came to be when he was hypnotized by two young boys who use his not so super powers to defeat the evil professor poopy pants who is trying to change everybody's name so his doesn't sound so silly. This classic graphic chapter book is the fourth book in the Captain Underpants series. In this adventure Captain underpants must save the city once again from an inventor named Professor Poopypants. This book is a great way to get older students to become interested in chapter book. I think all of the Captain Underpants are great funny ways to promote good reading skills. I can't believe I read these when I was younger...they're so ridiculous! But I don't see any harm in kids reading them; it can be an outlet for their "potty mouth" in a productive way. It's definitely something kids are into when they're younger so why not read while being a gross 8 year old, right? Although my son is extremely amused by this series of books, I am not too keen on the comedic appeal they offer. The pages are extremely colorful and the pictures support the storyline throughout, yet the storyline itself is a bit on the slapstick side with the two protagonists in the story continuing with their typical roles of outlandish behaviors and the outcomes that occur due to their efforts. The chapter titles alone have the reader laughing and looking forward to what crazy adventure lies ahead! I first heard about these books from the Banned Book List - and I've also heard quite a few parents complain about them. But my son saw a box at the local library with Captain Underpants all over it - and was mesmerized! And now he is OBSESSED!!! They're crazy/silly books but they have my son reading! He started out with just the little comic sections but now he's reading the entire chapters! Thank you Dav Pilkey! And I love how he takes jabs at how his books have been banned throughout some of the plots! |
