Yeah, so my favorite banned book author is Chris Crutcher. Had to read a whole bunch of his books once and I loved them. I can so imagine why they are banned, which makes me love them even more. Do you like them too, or not like them?

The only book of his I have read is Whale Talk. It was an amazingly moving story that will always stick with me. His work reminds me a lot of Robert Cormier's in that both authors are able to paint a perfect psychological picture with so few words.

Whale talk, one of three books I want to read of his and never got around to it. The other two are Chinese Handcuffs and The Sledding Hill. I bet that book is amazing.

Not sure if you're still into this topic, but perhaps you could tell me more about him. Why are his books banned?

Because his books deal with drugs, abuse, and all the other tought stuff. You see, I think Crutcher is a psychologist, and his books deal with the kinds of things of the patients he sees everyday. And because the books are very violent, some people hate them, but I say they are pretty good.
