Hi! I was wondering long time if it is possible to query LT for links to a specific site.
For some domains as en.wikipedia.org there are thousend of author pages.
If a tool is available to retrieve them it might be a good idea
# to display a counter
# to limit the output using known LT parameters as &startNum=000 and &stepNum=999
see Paul Erdős some links are
Wikidata
linked to wikidata.org https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q173746
Wikipedia author pageu
eo.Wikipedia - epo
linked to eo.wikipedia.org
de.Wikipedia - ger
linked to eo.wikipedia.org
toolserver.org /person/gnd/118994050 (Person)
linked to toolserver.org
VIAF id (Person|LCCN|WKP)
Worldcat author listing (LCCN)
toolserver.org /gnd/118994050 (Person)
YIVO Encyclopedia
Notable Names Db
IMDb
no link any more nobelprize.org
btw 1: The link to the Nobel Prize site was deleted.
Is this vandalism?
please compare with
Herta Müller still contains the link http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/literature/laureates/2009/muller-facts.ht...
Albert Einstein (1879–1955) The Nobel Prize site link was deleted as well.
btw 2: The date of birth and date of death are not shown properly at Paul Erdős Is it necessay to verify all language variants?
P.S. http://www.librarything.com/topic/160434# about btw 2

The link to the Nobel Prize site was deleted. Is this vandalism?
Could be. But maybe some problem with the link and somebody deleted it because of that. (In a case like that I would try to correct it rather than delete it, but...)
Is it necessary to verify all language variants?
Yes. I've seen cases where a date was wrong in just one of those variants. It leads to people getting born and/or dying twice ;-)
As to your main question: Not a clue if this could be done. I'm sort of worried what it might do for very common names. It might lead to wikipedia links to non-authors by the same name.
P.s.: Isn't this more something for Recommend Site Improvements?

Thanks for the answer. I need to leave now.
Could you please post this to Recommend Site Improvements?
I am not a native English speaker and you could write the proposal so that more users could understand it.
If so please post a link to the new talk / topic page. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I try to identify LT links by link labels:
example
1) http://www.librarything.com/author/aktionsgruppebanat Aktionsgruppe Banat
2) http://www.librarything.com/author/unicef UNICEF
3) http://www.librarything.com/author/federationuschess United States Chess Federation
4) http://www.librarything.com/author/ledzeppelin Led Zeppelin
all links I am interested in have the label VIAF id (corporate)
for exmple 3)
http://viaf.org/viaf/154182010/#Unicef
that pages contains:
German variant: VIAF ID:154182010 (Körperschaft)
English variant: VIAF ID:154182010 (Corporte)
note: http://www.librarything.com/profile/i18n states alias of gangleri
