The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. A twelve year old boy goes on a quest to a parallel world. Engrossing.
A Room Swept White by Sophie Hannah. A complex thriller. A woman is tasked with making a documentary about miscarriages of justice leading to murder. I found it confusing due to the number of characters.
Cut by Cathy Glass. The true story of an abandoned, abused little girl and the family who adopt her.
Carry on Jeeves Not my cup of tea but an interesting piece of social satire.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Young people fighting to the death. Fast paced and exciting futuristic teenage adventure story. (as most people know, due to the film)
Nothing matched the Talisman this month, although I admit the Hunger Games was a delightful surprise. I shall not be reading any more Wodehouse.
