This week, we'll take a look at the man who has been labelled "The God of Manga", Osamu Tezuka.

Often his work is forgotten or ignored by Western readers, but hopefully, since the Tezuka: The Marvel of Manga exhibition in Sydney (and in California most recently) he should be making a comeback quite swiftly.

For those vaguely familiar with Tezuka, you might recall that he created Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion (Kimba was ripped off by Disney in the years after Tezuka died). But he did a lot more than kid's Manga and Anime.

Apollo's Song is one of Tezuka's darker works, but also one of his most profound reflections on the human condition. I hope you enjoy it, it's recently come out in an English translation, which means that Westerners can get their hands on it and read it without trouble.
