YA sci-fi book— man gets in an accident and wakes up in a strange place that he can’t leave and no one will answer...

None of the neighbors will answer his questions and people are sacrificed to creatures at night. He is trying to get home to his wife (and child?) and escapes into the forest. I read this in early 2010 and it was a strange book with a disappointing ending of some sort.

This sounds a lot like Pines by Blake Crouch, but I think it's newer than 2010.
