2023 RandomKIT Planning

Bewerkt: okt 30, 2022, 2:17 pm

Welcome to RandomKIT! This RandomKIT is now open for planning. We need monthly hosts. Please volunteer, as many of us love this challenge and want to see it continue.

New hosts are always welcome. We are RandomKIT because the host gets to select the topic. The host posts the topic by the 15th of the previous month, including a description, topics, suggested reading, and so on. The fun part of this group is the element of surprise and unpredictability.

January—DeltaQueen50

May—Robertgreaves
June—Tess_W
July—JayneCM

Excellent. I'll volunteer for April, if that's OK.

If you've not hosted before, it's not overly onerous. Think up a theme, post a thread in the group describing your idea and giving some books as examples. It usually takes care of itself from there. >:-)

I'd like to volunteer for March.

Thanks all for volunteering! I will place myself in any month not covered.

June for me, please and thank you!

I tend to like to have a topic before volunteering, so I'm going to hold off for the moment. I see that there is lots of time, but if others want to take the months in the meantime, I'm ok with that.

(And since I don't believe I hosted one this year, you'd think I could have come up with a topic by now! I just like to find something unique and most of what I can think of are the kinds of things I've already done, I think.)

I'll take December.

We have one month remaining which is September, or I can trade since I took August. Any takers? August or September?

I could do August--I'm aiming to try to be more involved around here next year, so this would be a good extra push for me if you're really okay with trading!

Thinking here about the discussion going on in the general thread for 2023 Category Challenge--if any host needs help with posting the thread, please let me know. Some monthly hosts like to include many suggestions of titles, plus graphics or book covers. I appreciate it very much when hosts do that. However, the main idea is to get the thread posted and participants can add suggested titles or mention their own reading plans.
