Seeking a copy for an upcoming book club read and unsure which to buy. Thoughts on the best folio editions would be appreciated!

>1 wooter: I'm not very well versed in Folio's A Tale of Two Cities editions. However, I can tell you that the one you pick will be the best of editions. And it will be the worst of editions.

My very enjoyable read was a humble one: a £1 Penguin Classic.

Go to https://www.librarything.com/topic/288021 and scroll down to Charles Dickens.

Fyi, the early editions have illustrations by Richard Sharp (1952, 1973) and Charles Keeping (1985, 1994). The newer editions (2005, 2012, 2018) have the original Phiz illustrations. Another consideration is if you're looking to have this book in series with other Dickens Folios, since some of the series are more complete than others.

>7 HonorWulf: The 1952 and 1973 editions have illustrations by Richard Sharp and not Charles Keeping.
