Mystery Tag Combination Votes

I was just recently awarded the "Voting: Tag combination" helper badge for voting on tag combinations. Yesterday I looked at that message and realized that I have never voted on tag combinations, I have only voted on cover flags. However, when I look at my "Your Helps" stats it tells me that I've voted on 50 tags.

After some digging I have determined that LibraryThing says that I have voted on 50 tag combinations, all with a status of closed, and all with a vote of yes. I never cast these votes, I didn't even know about tag combination voting until I got the badge and started digging into this.

Hmmm, trying to poke into this, I'm not sure where/how the tag combinations are calculated for badges. Looking at your Closed > Voted page at https://www.librarything.com/tags_combinations.php, it looks like the top proposed combination was from 2011 (if I'm looking at the data correctly)... same as the last/bottom one. So, I'm not sure why you're just getting a badge, now. Will see what we can find, thanks.

Quick question: have you also flagged covers and then voted on those flags? Or flagged covers, at all?

>3 kristilabrie: Yes, I have flagged covers and voted on those flags (and some other flags). I received badges for cover flagging and voting on cover flags and those were expected. All of my badges and helper stats are roughly as expected except for this one (I haven't been tracking what I've been doing but I do see numbers roughly as I would expect them to be). Actually, looking at my helpers stats again I'm no longer seeing the tag combination votes. They're not in my "Your Helps" tonight and they're not in my Tag Combinations page under Closed > Voted. The badge is still there and shows (50) next to it but I'm not super surprised by that.

Also the tag combinations being from 2011, I joined last August so that just makes it weirder because I assume they were closed a long time ago and I wouldn't try to vote on something that was already closed.

I doubt this makes it easier to figure out the root cause, but whatever happened appears to have fixed itself for the most part. I'm not sure if I should close this bug report or not.

The bug has been found and fixed, and the past data has been cleaned up to be accurate.
