Renesmee and Jacob

Just what you think will happen with them two, any thoughts etc and also if you want a book to be written about them.

I think it would be interesting to see how their life and imprinting works out. We've never really seen the whole imprinting thing through one of the people involved *except for the small part at the end of Jacob's book in Breaking Dawn when he first imprints* and I think that would be a good book to read.

I don't think she'll be writing it anytime soon, if ever, but still, one can wish, right?

I think (and hope) she WILL write a book, she cannot finish Bella and Edward's story and not Renesmee and Jacob's, even if she just TOLD us (like how J.K Rowling did), I would be satisfied but I am pinning my heart on a book. I found the werewolves much more fascinating than the vampires, I found myself wondering more about the mechanics of the werewolves late at night after reading New Moon. I love Edward but I think Jacob and his friends are much more fascinating. I want to be a vampire, though, they are so perfect ... *sigh*

I'd prefer to hear some back stories first. And I want to know about what happens in the future with Kate and her new-found man.

I think Kate and Garrett are awesome but if Renesmee and Jacob's story is a "might" then Kate and Garrett's is a "never". There has some really good backup FOR making a book about Renesmee and Jacob, since Renesmee is the daughter of the two main characters and Jacob is a main character and the imprinting and the rest of their lives is really complicated. Kate and Garrett are interesting but not really "essential" parts of the main story, Breaking Dawn would have worked fine without them but if Jacob or Renesmee had been missing from the novel, then there'd be no book. I'm not trying to say that it wouldn't be awesome, but especially in Stephenie's eyes and the eyes of the publishers, a book/back story about Kate and Garrett wouldn't work. Millions of people WOULD rush out to buy Renesmee and Jacob's book.
But firstly, I would love to see Midnight Sun.
Even though I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Edward, I would have preferred for Bella and Jacob to end up together, they match up incredibly well. But, hey, all's fair in the game of love and I guess having a vampire boyfriend/husand is great. I want to marry Jasper!!

Anyway, I wanted to ask about Bella and Jacob's imprinting, if he even did imprint. I'm not sure that in the book it definetly says, "Jacob imprinted on me" or something like makes it definite but all the factors DO add up to Jacob imprinting on Bella.
First, Bella and Jacob have the strangest connection, it hurts for them to be apart, just like the imprinter and the object of imprinting.
Second, in Breaking Dawn, when it seems Bella is dead, Jacob says something along the lines of, "The pull that held me to the centre of the earth, to this girl we both loved was gone, it was like that pull was taking me out the front door, away from Bella." And when he lays eyes on Renesmee, who we KNOW he imprinted on (something along the lines of):, "All the strings of my life, my love for my Father, my loyalty to my pack, my knowing of myself were all being cut away and in their place a million string, no, steel cables held me to the small bundle in Rosalie's arms."
So, in essence, isn't the "pull" and the "steel cables" sort of the same feeling. If we can say, "yes", then it's obvious that he unknowingly imprinted on Bella. But before he did, Bella was irrevocably in love with Edward.
Bella also subconsciously acknowledges the "imprinting", near the end of Eclipse, when she's telling Jacob of her desicion to stay with Edward, she says something like, "If the world was the sane place it was supposed to be, with no monsters and magic, Jacob and I would have been together, he was my soulmate in that world. He would have been my soulmate in this world if our love hadn't been overshadowed by something stronger, so strong it couldn't exist in a rational world."
The "stronger" is obviously Edward. So Bella and Edward's love must have been incredibly "strong" if it overshadowed imprinting.
But on the other hand, Bella obviously loves Jacob very much because she says, "Jacob's pain seemed too high a price, maybe I would have wavered if I hadn't known how it felt to lose Edward, but that knowledge was so apart of me ..." So, she might have, if Edward hadn't left her, chosen Jacob over Edward.

I hope there will be a sequel book, just on Renesmee and Jacob. Him imprinting on her always seemed a little wrong to me, but I was happy. Jacob, my favorite character, was finally happy. I just would love to know what happened to them. Their story was just cut off somewhere in the begining. Unfortunately, I don't think that Stephanie Meyer will make a book about it because she doesn't seem to be interested in continueing that part of the story.

I found the part where Bella, in Eclipse realizes that's it's not who she loves more (Edward or Jacob). I'll explain what I think later:

"... And I realized that I'd been wrong all along about the magnets. It had not been Edward and Jacob that I'd been trying to force together, it was the two parts of myself, Edward's Bella and Jacob's Bella. But they could not exist together, and I never should have tried. "

So, essentially, Bella didn't choose Edward over Jacob, she chose herself, the self she liked the best. And in the end, she liked the person she was when she was with Edward the best. This might make Jacob-fans out there feel better!! She didn't choose Edward, she chose Edward's Bella! She chose herself!
I feel much better now. I knew I'd read somewhere about how she chose Edward's Bella or something but I really didn't pay attention to it before

Here's my proposed plot for the book about Renesmee and Jacob:

Renesmee grows up thinking of Jacob as being like an older brother. She is raised mostly by Alice and Rosalie, since her parents, Bella and Edward, spend most of their time shattering the walls of their cottage with mad supernatural vampire sex and then building it back up again. They squander much of the Cullen fortune in this pursuit.

By the time Renesmee is a teenager, she finds that though her half-vampire abilities do not make her as fast as a vampire, they do make her faster than her peers. She wins a track and field scholarship to the University of Oregon in Eugene. Then her parents sit her down, with Jacob in attendance, and give her the "talk." She is to marry Jacob and bear his litters. There will be no education for her, and no leaving Forks. Her destiny was determined in utero, and is not to be changed.

"Screw you!" shouts the young firebrand. "Sorry, Jacob," she adds. "I love you, but not that way. If we had sex, it would just be, like, too weird, you know? And you're really in love with my mom. That's gross."

Renesmee files for emancipation, shaves her head, and heads off to college. She takes a double major in physics and computer science, and becomes active in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Alliance. She takes many lovers, both male and female.

Renesmee gets her PhD in record time and lands a plum teaching position at an Ivy League school. She settles down on the East Coast with her partner, Cheryl, and their adopted daughter, Jane. Bella has disowned Renesmee, but Alice keeps her informed of all that goes on at home, including the many times Jacob is busted by a regretful Charlie Swan for DUI and domestic violence. If Renesmee ever thinks of Jacob at all, it is with a mixture of relief and pity.

You need some professional help! But it was funny, I admit, but decidedly disturbing!! Is this your memoirs or something, cos you seem to know this story really well!

Well everyone's entitled to their own opinion, I just agree with xcullenpridex I think that Jacob has been hurting enough for the entire series, when he imprinted on Renesmee I was so happy. He was finally happy. :) He finally had someone who will love him back. But, i may be biased, throughout the entire series he was my favorite character.

Yeah in a way you are right, but I just have to say when he imprinted on Bella's baby I was furious! Ever since that point I really hated him. I know you don't get to choose who you imprint on, but I just really wanted him out of Bella's life, and because of that he's back in it for good.

If Jacob was out of Bella's life, Bella would have been crushed! And with Bella being sad, that would have made Edward unhappy. And since Renesmee is his imprint-tee then she would have been just as depressed as Bella in New Moon. Jacob's leaving would have made so many people miserable, so of course it was only logical to keep him in the saga somehow without hurting himself and Bella, that solution was his imprinting on Renesmee.
Penguin711 = I don't really get how you can hate Jacob when it wasn't his fault, in the beginning of the book he hated Renesmee, it wasn't like he even wanted to imprint on her! And Bella wants him in her life!

Honestly the Twilight series wouldnt have been the same without Jacob in it. Bella loved him...most of the series. (just as a friend though) he couldn't leave. I agree with cullen the best way was to have him imprinted. I hope that there is a sequel book with them in it...but not gonna happen alas

You're completely right xcullenpridex. I hate Jacob but if she were to make a new book about them, I would have to read it. Especially because if Renesmee is in it her parents have to be too! Yeah, Edward!!!! :)

Exactly =) we would still see Edward (*sigh*) and the rest of the Cullens, that might dilute the bigness of Jacob if you hate him (I don't =D). And I know that I'm not the only one that's dying to know what's happened with Renesmee!

I think you are being a bit harsh toward Jacob. If you don't remember, Bella was the one bringing him on in the first place. Personally, I love the way things ended in Breaking Dawn! Renesmee adores Jacob and right now he only wants her to be happy. He's in the same boat as Quil. I think the whole imprinting thing is so cute! I do love Bella's initial reaction to the whole Jacob imprinting on her daughter thing ~ very funny.

JACOB IS NOT A PERV! He doesn't feel that way at all towards Renesmee. He will be her big brother, her friend, her protector until she's old enough to be more. And if you want Jacob away from her, that will hurt Renesmee as well!

ok, renesmee should have her own chance to find someone to love... she's just a baby, she hasn't really even been out long enough to find herself someone NORMAL! And, in my opinion the only reason she likes jacob is because he absolutely adores her, and won't stay away from her for more than 2 seconds!!! Since Jacob imprinted on her, he is her true love. As he said about Quil & Claire, "Why would she choose any one else? When he was made her for?" That's exactly the same with Jake & Renesmee. She would be absolutely heart-broken (think: Bella in New Moon) without Jacob. And she loves him back, for goodness sake! She may be only a baby but she's intelligent beyond her years. She knows what she wants and she wants to be with Jacob always.

She only wants to be with jacob because she doesn't know better! He was the one who will not leave her sight! If she wasn't exposed to that filthy animal who stalks her, adn won't leave her right after she was born, she wouldn't care one thing about him. His imprinting has nothing to do with renesmees feelings at all! He doesn't deserve her one bit, and he is so lucky that he gets that imprinting thing or else he would NEVER find someone to love him! Imprinting is a very intresting topic. I think imprinting is not the werewolfs fault at all that they imprinted I just think it unfair that the imprinti has no chance to experience anything else besides the imprinter. Especially as a child. And yes maybe Renesmee does love Jacob blah blah blah I just dont like Jacob. And just because we have never heard of an imprinti not choosing an imprinter doesnt mean it couldnt happen.

Imprinting has got to do with Renesmee's feelings. The imprintee and the imprinter both are made for each other (soul mates) that why the werewolves imprint, if they never find their soul mate then they'll never imprint!

How do you possibly think that Renesmee has a fair chance with her love this way xcullenpridex? I don't believe that they're soul mates more than Jacob just imprinting on Renesmee and now she cannot ever find a decent human being to love!!!! If Jacob weren't there in the first place (that would be wonderful),she would wait until the right age of course, but find herself a decent, decent smelling, guy to be with... of her choice! Jacob "tried to imprint on Bella". But, because they were not soul mates he was unable to.

If you recall, Sam was almost married before he imprinted, which really messed things up. There isn't a choice. You can't really choose to or not to imprint.

i understand that you cannot choose, but I still think that is unfair to Renesmee. I personally don't think that Jacob is Renesmee's soul mate. Maybe Jacob is meant to be with her, but I don't think that Renesmee really had to be with him. What I'm really saying is: I don't believe that she is his soul mate, she could definitely find someone much better. I know that if someone else just got to be with me because they could imprint I would say no. I would want to have my own chance to find true love. But, anyway I'm tired of explaining my thinking so I'm leaving.

But, penguin, you don't "choose" your soul mate. It just happens. Maybe you wouldn't choose Jacob for someone else, or for yourself. But there is someone out there for everybody (or so some say).... If it were as simple as "finding someone much better". You could say no if someone imprinted on you...but the point of imprinting is that the wolf that does it will be there for you in whatever capacity you need them to be. So, if you only need a protector, you've got it. If it's a love interest, you've got it. Does that make sense?

Exactly, Jolene, I don't think Penguin understands that in Jacob imprinting on Renesmee, Jacob is Renesmee's soul mate. And now that he has imprinted on her, she won't be happy without him. Now, it would be unfair if they parted. Imprinting benefits both people in the situation, the guy/werewolf gets to carry on the gene that allows shape-shifting plus true love and the girl/imprintee gets her soulmate. Though, the "carrying-on the werewolf gene" thing is only Sam's opinion.

Leah doesn't think she'll ever imprint as she says she's "a genetic dead end", that's why she thinks Sam imprinted on Emily, instead of her. Also, she's the only female werewolf in HISTORY. I just hope she's happy, she's had enough heartache for a lifetime. BTW, the guy who plays Sam is really ugly, no offence, he just is.

It's also possible that Leah will never imprint but she'll find her soul mate still. That's what I hope will happen because instead of the imprinting forcing the werewolves to dote on the "soul mate" they can do it all by themselves :)

Not to be pessimistic but Ted Turner has owned the rights for The Last Full Measure for at least 5 years now and he hasn't thought about making it any time lately. Just because Summit has the rights doesn't mean it will be made. (Although, with all the hype I can't see how they would deny the fans.)

Tim Tams are a sort of chocolate biscuit. Look them up, they are really good =) But Vegemite is an acquired taste. It's sort of bitter but sweet at the same time. Strange.

Chose it because I use variations of it on other sites, and originally chose it (Hermione, not Hermee) coz I'm a fan of Harry Potter and wanted a unique name. It's not very unique now with tons of Hermione's on the web, but I thought it was at the time.

I haven't EVER heard or seen another Hermione, not really a "pretty name" but it's original. I know people called Isabella but their nicknames are Izzy.

In the first reading, there were parts in Breaking Dawn that were my fave parts in the series and still are, but there are long parts where the story is told instead of shown in dialog. This moved the book into fourth place for me. Enjoyed it so much more in the second reading although my fave parts are when it's told from Bella's point of view.

I love New Moon, not sure why but I do :)

During the first reading - and I'll try to word this without adding spoilers - following the big thing that happened in the beginning, the time after that dragged on eternally until Alice showed up, which made it worse for me when this person was left alone without two key figures present. How's that for being evasive? :D The second reading was much more enjoyable so although New Moon slipped to last place, it's only because I liked Breaking Dawn so much more the second time. I love all the books despite the order.

You should read The Sisters Grimm series, Dopey. It's full of fairytale characters, including Snow White, who's a teacher in the story. (Prince Charming is the mayor.) A few of us are reading it right now actually. Each book gets more exciting and is full of adventure, humor and some romance as well. About the difference, we get three different types. We get the limited 2 disc edition (which I preorder at my shopping mall today :)), the single disc one with an Edward sleeve and a sing disc one with a Bella sleeve. That's all. I've seen like at least six different types for America.

You live in Orange County, Kara? I'm not that far from you really (north San Diego). Don't mention exactly where you are though ok coz it's not safe for children/teens to put that on the Internet.

I tried to find that pic on Yahoo, Renesmee, and couldn't. If you could find out who it is and send it into a major Twilight site, they tend to post pics on the site for feedback from members. All that's needed then is for enough to agree and word could get back to the studio for consideration. Have also gotten the feeling that some of the Twilight websites have sent in pics of those they think would be good in roles.

The site I'd recommend is newmoonmovie.org. They seem to get more news than anywhere on a daily basis and get a lot of comments in response to what they post.

She is beautiful to me. I read something a while back about possibly creating Renesmee by CGI. Have they confirmed it now then? Am not sure how they'd do it any other way really. Mind you, look what they did with "the" pig in Babe. (I emphasized "the" because baby pigs grow so quickly that they ended up using 48 different pigs.) They'd have to do an awful lot of takes to get what was needed from a baby, then child as she grew and would have to shoot it over time to have the same child grow between scenes. Much too difficult.

To the CGI questions: SMeyer says she can see no other way, with the fast growing of Nessie both mentally and psychically. And I think it will be cool. About talking/holding thin air: in the second HP movie, Dobby (the house-elf) was CGI and Harry had to talk to an orange on a stick which was where Dobby would be. So, it doesn't really matter since they are actors/actresses. They just have to act that Nessie's really there. ORANGE ON A STICK. LOL :)

Hey, you know what I was thinking the other day? In Breaking Dawn, Carlisle says that Renesmee had a few similarities with Jacob (Alice not being able to see them both and growing really fast). Maybe this was a strong factor in Jacob imprinting on Renesmee?

But you know what I noticed? Is that Bella blinks a whole bunch during the entire movie. Either she has an eye problem, or, that Edward just amazes her so much that she has to blink every two seconds to make sure he's real. My sister also said that she does this wierd thing with her lips. I didn't really see it, but, IDK. Everytime we make a comment on Bella, my mom's all like, "Ah, Leave her alone!" :}

She does blink a lot in the movie. It must be something for her character of Bella though, she doesn't do that all the time. (Actually, Kristen Stewart is a much better actress than what you see in Twilight.)

I love at the end how Kristen goes, "No, no what? You, no, don't go! You just can't say stuff like that to me." She sounds funny! :)

O.o And I wouldn't want a book about them to be written. I love Jacob, but Breaking Dawn kind of drove me away from anything else written by the author.

Heeyy. I completely want her to make a sequel for 'Nessie' and Jacob . She probably won't though. It was funny and weird when he imprinted on her, but I'm happy for him. I hope they'll be happy. ( if they make a movie about it I will be ticked off.)
