If you don't mind a latecomer joining in, I'd love to give this a try.
I think it should be more than doable though, as I've already got fifty books reviewed at my blog since the beginning of January.

Just finished reading my 51st book this year: Bess of Hardwick by Mary Lovell.

Thanks.

Book #52 is The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.
Doesn't seem to be a touchtsone for just The Hatchet.

The list on my blog is saying 54 books, so I guess that's the correct total.
#54 is the sequel to Hatchet, The River by Gary Paulsen.

Thanks. I viewed a few threads to get the idea and just followed along. It's a lot of fun, keeping track of the books. The blog just helps, as I came in so late, it let me count back without forgetting anything.
13ElenaGwynne
Next book finished is Incubus Dreams by Laurell K. Hamilton.
14ElenaGwynne
Just finished The Swan Maiden by Jules Watson.
16wookiebender
ElenaGwynne, you might also be interested in Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki which is the autobiography of a geisha. I found it quite fascinating, especially as a companion piece to Memoirs of a Geisha.
17ElenaGwynne
I'm in luck. The library seems to have it in. Thanks for the rec, wookiebender.
18ElenaGwynne
Just finished By Heresies Distressed by David Weber.
19ElenaGwynne
Book 62 according to my list was The Ash Spear by G. R. Grove. Received through the Member Giveaway and a very good read.
20ElenaGwynne
#63 is Hand of Isis by Jo Graham.
It's the story of Cleopatra as told by Charmian, her sister. All I can say is WOW!

#67 was the third book in the Dragon Jousters series by Mercedes Lackey: Sanctuary. I found it to be a bit of a "middle book", but still a good read.
25ElenaGwynne
Book 69 was the middle book in the Templar Trilogy, Standard of Honor by Jack Whyte.
A very good story, to say the least.

26ElenaGwynne
Book 70 was the final book in Jack Whyte's Templar Trilogy: Order In Chaos. This was my favorite of the series, I think.
27ElenaGwynne
#71 was Nefertiti by Michelle Moran.
28ElenaGwynne
I'm hooked on the Stargate TV series now, and have discovered the novelizations as well, so book number 72 was Stargate SG1 The First Amendment by Ashley McConnell.
29ElenaGwynne
Book 73 was City of the Gods by Sonny Whitelaw. Another Stargate SG1 novel. Not bad, but my favorite so far has been The Barque of Heaven (book 74).
30ElenaGwynne
Book 75 is James Reston Jr's Defenders of the Faith.
31ElenaGwynne
Book 76 is Robin McKinley's latest novel, Chalice, and book 77 is Patricia Brigg's new book, Hunting Ground, the second book in her Alpha and Omega series.
Both were good reads. There won't be a review of Chalice up for a while though, my review is promised to the Royal Reviews blog next month.
The review for Hunting Ground is being written up right now.

Book 78 is Curse of the Tahiera by Wendy Gillissen. This was an interesting case as I wasn't certain when I started the read that I'd like the book. Turned out that I absolutely loved it.
There doesn't seem to be any touchstone for this book yet.

#79 was The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran. I really enjoyed the read, and I'm waiting impatiently for Cleopatra's Daughter now.
34ElenaGwynne
Book #80 was The Man Who Loved Books Too Much. A great read, and my first ARC book. I loved the look into the book collector's world, and collecting books is something I could see myself doing very easily.
35ElenaGwynne
# 81 is Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran. Historical fiction set in the Rome of Augustus/Octavian.
I loved it. A book that's well worth the wait.

#83 was The Quest of the Holy Grail, read for the Arthurian Challenge and the Pre Printing Press Challenge.
#84 was Catfantastic V. Possibly my favorite book for the week.

I seem to have a discrepancy between this list and the one on my blog. This one's saying this book is # 85, where on my blog it's coming up as #84.
Anyway the next book to add (finished last night) is Against The Tide Of Years by S. M. Stirling.

The next book was Ghosts of Ottawa by Glen Shackleton. A very good read, if creepy enough to keep me from getting to sleep last night.
39ElenaGwynne
Thanks to the Name That Book Group I found the next book on the list.
Book 87: Gone-Away Lake by Elizabeth Enright.
It's a kids book, but I loved it anyway.

#88 was Return to Gone-Away. Liked it just as much as the first book.
The numbers here and on my blog are getting farther and farther apart. Going to have to do a recount there soon to figure out what I've missed (number here is higher).
