Beschrijving:: This is the main library of Tuskegee University, housed in the 1932 Hollis Burke Frisell Building on Montgomery Road beside The Oaks, the historic home of Booker T. Washington. Visitors may park in the lot below the one reserved for National Park Service visitors to the Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site. The library holds more than 310,000 volumes. Unusually, the entrance to the open stacks is located behind the reference desk. Special collections include a Rare Book Room and the Washington Room, containing materials “by and about Black People.”
